Dr. Kirk Partin - Tuskegee University
Dr. Kirk Partin received his B.S. degree from N.C.S.U. in 1973, majoring in Animal Science and Poultry Science with a minor in Zoology. He recieved his D.V.M. degree from Tuskegee University in 1977. Dr. Partin has worked in a variety of practice settings, including large animal medicine, emergency medicine and companion animal medicine. Professional interests include ongoing studies in dermatology and internal medicine. Dr. Partin has been a private practitioner in the greater Columbia, SC metropolitan area for the past 30 years. When he is not working on pets, Dr. Partin enjoys construction projects, yard work, sailing, and listening to music. He is a dad to six children and a grandfather to two boys. He has been a valued part of our practice for many years.
Dr. Jordan Stephenson - University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Jordan Stephenson graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. Dr. Stephenson brings significant experience in business management, having degrees in marketing and accounting, and working as an accountant prior to becoming a veterinarian. In addition to practicing veterinary medicine, he served as an 'Operations Manager' for a five-hospital group in her last position in North Carolina. Prior to that she practiced in New Jersey. We are greatful to have him on our team!
Dr. Bonovich - University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Bonovich joined Two Notch Road Animal Clinic with experience in small animal practice and shelter medicine. She graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine after obtaining a BS in Biology from the University of South Carolina. She enjoys getting to know her patients and clients, respects and encourages the bond that animals and humans share, and advocates for low stress handling of her patients. She enjoys community outreach opportunities and has been involved in veterinary legislation at the local and national level. Professional interests include preventative medicine, dermatology, behavior, geriatrics, and zoonotic and emerging diseases. She lives with her husband, three wonderful children, an energetic yellow lab named Scout, and two sweet kitties, Star and Nebula. Aside scrapbooking, and cuddling puppies and kittens.
Dr. Courtney R. Smith - Tuskegee University
Dr. Courtney R. Smith is a 2015 graduate from Tuskegee University. She is owned by her four fur babies, Lilly the goofy one, Abby the attention hog, Zorro the old grump, and Dori the tiny terrorist cat. The babies are her pride and joy! In her spare time, Dr. Smith likes to swim, dance, and take to the trails with Lilly. She is also an active church member. Dr. Smith has a special interest in dermatology and nutrition. She has a strong belief in treating people as she wishes to be treated both in her professional and personal life. In Dr. Smith's words, "taking care of animals and their human guardians is a privilege she doesn't take lightly".
Dr. Pam Parnell - Diagnostic Pathologist
We are grateful to Dr. Parnell for the services she provides for our clients. She won Professional Veterinary Pathology Services and is past director of the Clemson University Veterinary Diagnostic Center. Her practice has since grown to include additional pathologists. Her group provides us with timely histopathology, cytology, and necropsy results.
Dr. Wes Cook - Surgery Specialist
We are also grateful to Dr. Cook for the services he provides for our clients. Dr. Cook owns Lowcountry Veterinary Surgery in Charleston, SC, where his wife also works as a veterinary ophthalmologist. Dr. Cook is our 'go to' man for orthopedic and other specialty surgeries. He has performed many TPLO surgeries for ACL ruptures, fracture repairs, luxating patella stabilizations, and many others.
Dr. Chris Hardin - Auburn University
Dr. Chris Hardin started volunteering with a veterinarian at age 13, and has been in the business one way or another since. He graduated from Auburn University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. He came to Columbia in 1997, and bought the Two Notch Road Animal Clinic in 1999, about two weeks after marrying his wife Traci. He started the Pet Friends Veterinary Clinic in 2001 (since sold) and the Palmetto Regional Emergency Hospital for Animals in 2005. He and Traci have a wonderful son named Tyler, a dog named Elmo, along with two cats, Grifi and Dusty. Dr. Hardin appreciates the support of all the great pet parents and the hospital staff who have helped make this practice what it is!
